No way, it works fine for me. Great for pulling if you really must do some damage as well. (like it matters anyway )

Agree, but I'd save it for all the caster classes.

I know this is about what to keep, but, why is it easier for sprit bond farming? how does that work?

Lower Armor -> More dmg -> Easier to trigger Spirit Bond.

That's why you should keep the starter armor

No need to keep talking about the armor.

the Char at the gate longsword works great with an additional ar+5 pommel on it for casters for a quick extra 10 armor.

The -5 energy earth scroll from the cities of ascalon quest is amazing for hiding energy in pvp.

Theres a feathered longbow you get from Finding Little Thom outside of ft. ranik thats 11-18 req3, 15>50, hp+20... i have one on any char that i need to pull monsters with. it works great for that.

and lastly, the holy rod from shiverpeak stragglers quest. it my not have damage, but it does have en+3>50, 10% all skills recharge. ive used this rod on my monk ever since i got one. still use it to this day. works well on other chars as well.

SPirit bond triggers when you take more than 60 damage. The lower the armor, the more damage you will take. This mean that with lower armor you can farm lower level monsters without having to artificially lower your armor (using healing sig, elemental resistance ) or going without armor.

Since the base for the build is having Balth spirit and retribution on you while upholding prot spirit and spirit bond any caster can use it. Monks do it most efficiently of course.

Another unusual quest item is a Poisonous LongBow from a Quest in the Jungle. It has a Dead Bow skin and stats as follows:

14-26 Req 8 Marksmanship
Lengthens Poison Duration 33%
Reduces Poison duration on you by 20%

I guess you could throw a grip of your choice on this and have a decent poisoner bow.

I actually just got a nice -20 armor rare ominous edilion the other day. no to bad if i do say so myself

also i would like to add, though they are not items you definitely WILL get but it's always nice to keep:

+10 or above en, -1en regen wands....
i used to have a purple cane which is +13 en -1 en regen on my w/mo, just in case mo run out of energy and i can breeze some characters... but i sold it ever since i decide to go for w/n which i am regretting...

most monks (well at least i do) want one of this for emergency situations....

I updated my OP and added in some items some people suggested. I left out a few that were reccomended since they didn't seem to hold the same value as others, but if there others feel that I left them out unjustly, I will add them in. I left out -20 health offhands since I don't hear of them being used often, nor do I know of a specific quest that gives one as a reward. Thanks to all who have contributed.

Can't quite recall the quest at the moment, but it's in Pre-Searing. Anyway, every 55 Monk should be carrying a -20 Health offhand with them, as they can use it after they die to obtain 8 or 13 health (depends on if they have an old, or new, major rune in a spare headpiece).

Added dyes and -20 health items along with -5 energy health items to a section to include items found early in both campaigns. I'd still like to find out what quest gives the -20 health item in presearing, because I do remember there was one that had it as a reward, but can't remember which one. >.<
